ABOUT THE ORGANIZERS

MAC AND GINA WALCOTT

Mac and Gina Walcott are founding principals in the firm Walcott Adams Verneuille Architects. Mac earned his Bachelor and Masters of Architecture from Tulane University. Gina earned her Bachelor of Architecture from Mississippi State University. The two recently founded The Windmill Market, a green-energy marketplace selling local produce, baked goods, and crafts, and featuring live music and two local restaurants. The Market is a landmark of sustainability and environmental building and serves as a community space for vibrant gatherings. Over the years, Mac has received numerous community awards, most recently being selected Community Leader of the Year for 2006 by the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce. Gina is active in the community, volunteering her time to various organizations, including St. James Episcopal Church, Fairhope Educational Enrichment Foundation, Fairhope Center for the Arts, and the arts community. Mac and Gina have three children and a host of farm animals at their Fish River home.

MAGGIE BAGWELL LACEY

Maggie Lacey grew up in Point Clear, Alabama and received her BA from Vanderbilt University. She is the Manager of the Windmill Market in downtown Fairhope selling local food, produce, art, crafts and more with live local music and a family-friendly atmosphere. Her experience is varied but always has a focus on culture, art and lifestyle- she has worked in the New York fashion industry for shoe designer, Hollywould, and started and ran a store in Palm Beach, FL. She has been a buyer for a high-end womens boutique in Fairhope, and was the director of Marketing and Special Events for the Mississippi Museum of Art in Jackson, and owned her own online retail boutique named Cerulean. Maggie is an avid horsewomen and spends her time on the bay with husband Ric, friends and family, and one spoiled dog.
